Atyrau – A New Destination from Tbilisi International Airport

Air Astana

On May 27, Air Astana operated its inaugural flight from the Kazakh city of Atyrau to Tbilisi International Airport, bringing the first group of passengers to Georgia. The flight was carried out using an Airbus A320 aircraft and carried 125 passengers.

Atyrau represents a completely new destination in the route network of Tbilisi International Airport. Air Astana will operate regular flights on the Atyrau–Tbilisi–Atyrau route three times a week, specifically on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

In addition to this newly introduced route, Air Astana is also expanding its presence in Georgia during the 2025 summer navigation season. The airline operates four weekly flights to Astana and ten weekly flights to Almaty from Tbilisi. Furthermore, Air Astana conducts five weekly flights from Almaty to Batumi International Airport during the summer season.

Atyrau is one of Kazakhstan’s most important industrial cities, located on the Caspian Sea coast and known for its rich cultural heritage. Atyrau International Airport is situated approximately 8 kilometers from the city center and serves both domestic and international destinations, including routes to Europe.
