Tbilisi International Airport has been recognized as one of the top five airports with the capacity to serve 5 million passengers annually by The Routes Europe 2025.
Alongside Shota Rustaveli International Airport, the other airports in the top five include Bremen, Corfu, London (Southend Airport), and Vilnius International Airports. This selection was made by the influential international platform based on successful collaboration with airlines, the growth rate of routes, and the remarkable increase in passenger traffic.
Tbilisi International Airport serves 60 airlines operating flights to 66 destinations. Starting from the summer navigation season of 2025, six new airlines will enter the market, including British Airways, EasyJet, Edelweiss, and Transavia France. In 2024, Tbilisi International Airport recorded a significant increase in passenger traffic, with 4,750,830 passengers, which represents a 29% growth compared to both the previous year and pre-pandemic levels.
