A DoubleTree by Hilton hotel will be opened in the village of Vejin in Gurjaan – what does the investment project include?

A DoubleTree by Hilton brand hotel will be opened in Vejin village of Gurjaani municipality. Malkhaz Bitsadze, director of the hotel project management company “GVG +” spoke to BM.GE about the introduction of the international brand of hospitality in Kakheti and the investment project.

According to his information, the project includes the construction of 67 villas along with the hotel on a land area of 12 hectares, and its investment value is fully 50 million GEL. The cost of the hotel project will be 25 million GEL. The director of the company notes that the project in Gurjaani is being built with the support of the state agency “Produce Georgia” and the amount of co-financing is 6 million GEL.

“The GVG + company has owned the territory of the former sanatorium in the village of Vejin in Gurjaani municipality for a long time. Negotiations have been held with Hilton and a 100-room hotel under the Double Tree upscale brand is under construction. It will be a hotel operating under an international brand. In addition, the project includes the construction of 67 villas in a large area behind the hotel. There is no word on whether or not the villas will be under Hilton management, but first line villas should be ready when the hotel launches. The opening of the hotel is planned for the autumn season of 2025, and the construction of 9 cottages in the first row of villas and their arrangement will be completed by the opening day of the hotel”, said the director of the company Malkhaz Bitsadze to BM.GE.

The 100-room hotel project of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand includes the arrangement of a spa center, which means the arrangement of an open and closed pool, dry and wet saunas, as well as a massage area, the hotel will also have a restaurant and conference spaces. The view of the Alazni Valley can be seen from the hotel. The director of “GVG +” says that after the launch, the hotel will create 100 jobs.
