According to preliminary data from Georgia’s National Statistics Office, foreign direct investment (FDI) in Georgia amounted to $468.8 million in the second quarter of 2026.
The figure was 23.2% lower than the adjusted FDI figure recorded in the second quarter of 2025. According to the data, the decline was mainly linked to a decrease in reinvestment.
At the same time, several major Georgian and international companies were among the enterprises associated with the largest foreign direct investments during the quarter.

Geostat notes that the companies are not ranked according to the amount of investment, meaning the list should not be interpreted as a ranking from first to tenth place.
Reinvestment remains a major component
Reinvestment amounted to $300.5 million in the second quarter of 2026, accounting for 64.1% of total FDI.
Meanwhile, equity capital reached $210.5 million, representing 44.9% of total foreign direct investment during the quarter.
