New infrastructure will be developed in the Tana Reserve to improve visitor services and expand ecotourism opportunities.
The project includes the planning and construction of an administrative building and a visitor center, as well as the development of ecotourism and recreational infrastructure.
The area is also set to feature a network of hiking trails, picnic and camping areas, designated fire pits, tourist shelters and ranger stations.
The development of the infrastructure will help improve visitor services and create a more comfortable, safe and attractive environment for travelers exploring the Tana Reserve.
The project is being implemented with financial support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Development Bank (KfW).
The Tana Reserve is located approximately 100 kilometers from Tbilisi, within the territory of Gori Municipality. The area is distinguished by its unique biodiversity, diverse landscapes and rich historical and cultural heritage.
