Starting from the summer navigation season, another new destination will be added to Tbilisi International Airport.
Swiss airline Edelweiss Air, part of the Lufthansa Group, will operate flights on the Zurich-Tbilisi-Zurich air route.
According to the application submitted to the Civil Aviation Agency, flights will be operated from April 12, with a frequency of 2 flights per week, every Tuesday and Sunday.
On March 20 of this year the Civil Aviation Agency granted the airline the necessary permission to operate flights.
Edelweiss Air is focused on offering tourist destinations for those who wish to relax and travel.
The airline’s entry into the Georgian aviation market will make travel between Georgia and Switzerland more accessible and will contribute to increasing tourist flows from Europe.
